Original oil paintings exploring the beautiful contrast between the organic and the reflective.
Berries & Metal began with a fascination for contrast — the softness and imperfection of berries and foliage against the cool, reflective surfaces of metal vessels.
As I paint, I’m continually drawn to the way these surfaces capture their surroundings. Colour shifts, edges disappear, light bounces and familiar objects become beautifully distorted in reflection.
Rather than a collection with a defined beginning and end, Berries & Metal is an evolving body of work. New paintings will be added as they emerge from the studio, allowing the collection — and the story it tells — to grow over time.
