One of my favourite events of the year is almost here, and I'd love to welcome you to my painting space during Margaret River Open Studios 2026.
As a Margaret River Region artist based just outside Dunsborough, Open Studios is a wonderful opportunity to invite visitors into the place where every painting begins. It's a chance to slow down, wander through a working artist's studio, and experience original artwork in the space where it was created.
Whether you're an avid art collector, looking for a meaningful gift, or planning a weekend exploring the many talented artists across the region, I hope you'll add my studio to your itinerary.
Discover New Original Oil Paintings
This year's exhibition features a collection of brand-new original oil paintings inspired by the quiet beauty of everyday life and the landscapes of the South West.
For the first time, I'll be unveiling a new still life series featuring berries and aged metal vessels. These paintings explore the rich textures of weathered metals alongside the softness and colour of seasonal berries, celebrating the beauty found in simple, familiar objects. Light, atmosphere, and timeless compositions remain at the heart of every piece.
Alongside these works is a new collection of small landscape studies inspired by local walking trails, secluded beaches, and peaceful places throughout the Margaret River Region, particularly of those close to home that I walk with family and friends, or on my own for quiet contemplation. These smaller paintings capture fleeting moments of light and are perfect for collectors wanting to bring a little piece of the South West into their home. I look forward to seeing if you can recognise them!
You'll also find a selection of larger landscape and still life paintings, all painted in oils using my signature tonal impressionist style.
Introducing My Earthy Life Ceramics
Visitors will also be able to browse my growing My Earthy Life collection.
Inspired by nature and everyday rituals, this handcrafted ceramic range has been designed to bring beauty into daily living. From thoughtfully crafted homewares to small gift ideas, each piece reflects the same appreciation for natural textures, simplicity, and connection that inspires my paintings.
Seeing the paintings and ceramics together creates a beautiful experience, where fine art and functional pieces complement one another.
Experience a Working Artist's Studio
One of the things visitors often tell me they enjoy most is seeing the studio itself.
During Margaret River Open Studios, you'll have the opportunity to see where I paint, view works in progress, learn about my painting process, and hear the stories behind each collection. There is something special about seeing the brushstrokes, textures, and subtle layers of an original oil painting in person that simply can't be captured on a screen.
Questions are always welcome, and I love sharing the inspiration behind my work, whether it's a favourite local beach walk, a treasured vintage vessel, or the changing light across our beautiful South West landscape.
