Some paintings tell a story without ever including a single person.

As I gathered this collection of vessels together, I found myself reflecting on community. Each vessel has its own shape, character and history. Some are tall, others weathered, some quietly understated, yet together they create a harmony that none could achieve alone. If still life objects could depict community, this is it.

I've always been fascinated by the way beautiful light transforms both ordinary and extraordinary subjects. As the afternoon light moved gently across the vessels, each revealed its own texture, colour and personality while quietly contributing to something greater than itself. It reminded me that true beauty isn't found in sameness, but in the richness that comes when every individual has a place to belong.

Together is Better is a reflection on belonging, friendship and the quiet strength found in community. Much like these vessels, we each bring something unique, yet life becomes richer when we support, encourage and make space for one another.

My hope is that this original painting serves as a gentle reminder that beauty is so often found—not in standing alone—but in standing together.

Local collection is available from Dunsborough, with delivery also available within the Margaret River Region.

Perth metropolitan delivery is available via specialist art courier for $100.

Framed works are professionally finished in either a natural Tasmanian oak float frame or an Italian narrow shadow-line box frame, as shown.

Unframed works have finished edges, with the painting continuing around the sides.

Each original artwork is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
