Surrounded By You

Some paintings begin with a collection of beautiful objects.

This one began with revisiting an earlier idea.

Surrounded by You grew from my painting Together is Better. While the original explored the harmony of a collection of vessels as a reflection of community, I found myself wanting to return to the composition on a larger scale. By drawing the vessels closer and allowing them to fill the canvas, the painting took on a more intimate feeling—less about the gathering itself and more about the comfort of being surrounded.

I've always been fascinated by the way beautiful light transforms both ordinary and extraordinary subjects. As the light moved gently across the pottery and glass, it revealed subtle textures, softened edges and drew each vessel into one harmonious whole. Every piece retained its own character while contributing to something greater than itself.

For me, Surrounded by You became a reflection on belonging. It speaks of the quiet reassurance that comes from being held within a community, surrounded by people who know us, encourage us and make us feel at home. My hope is that this painting brings that same sense of warmth and peace into the home where it hangs.

All original artworks are packaged with great care to ensure they arrive safely.

Due to the materiality and scale of the works, original paintings are shipped as finished artworks and are not available rolled.

Local collection is available from Dunsborough, with delivery also available within the Margaret River Region.

Perth metropolitan delivery is available via specialist art courier for $100.

Regional WA and interstate shipping is available, with tracking and insurance. As costs vary depending on the size and destination of the artwork, shipping will be quoted and invoiced separately after purchase.

International shipping is also available by personalised quote and will be invoiced separately after purchase.

Framed works are professionally finished in either a natural Tasmanian oak float frame or an Italian narrow shadow-line box frame, as shown.

Unframed works have finished edges, with the painting continuing around the sides.

Each original artwork is accompanied by a signed certificate of authenticity.
