Sometimes the simplest arrangements become the most memorable.

A handful of soft pink chrysanthemums, gathered together in a favourite glass vase, seemed perfectly content just as they were—no grand statement, simply sitting quietly in the afternoon light. The transparent glass offered endless opportunities to observe reflections, distortion and the way light danced through water, while the warm timber beneath grounded the composition with its rich, earthy tones.

I love painting familiar objects that invite us to slow down and notice the beauty that often goes unnoticed. Sitting Pretty is a quiet celebration of home, of flowers gathered simply for enjoyment, and of finding contentment in the everyday.
