There is something wonderfully refreshing about slipping into the crystal-clear waters of Yallingup Lagoon. On warm summer days, the turquoise water invites swimmers to pause, cool off and savour the simple pleasure of being immersed in nature.

As I painted Quick Dip at Yallingup, I was drawn to the contrast between the lone swimmer emerging from the water and the quiet, misty headland stretching into the distance. The vastness of the coastline makes the figure appear small, reminding us of both the beauty and the humility found in these treasured natural places.

Painted in oils, this piece celebrates those carefree moments that become lasting memories - a quick swim, the warmth of the sun on your shoulders and the peaceful rhythm of the ocean long after you've left the beach.
