One of my favourite ways to experience the coastline is to pause before reaching the beach. Standing among the windswept grasses, the sound of the waves arrives before the view fully reveals itself, creating a quiet moment of anticipation.
As the day draws to a close, the last warmth of the sun catches the coastal vegetation while soft pastel light settles across the sky and ocean. I was drawn to the contrast between the untamed foreground and the calm expanse beyond—each playing its part in the character and beauty of Cape Naturaliste.
Painted in oils, Day's End, Cape Naturaliste is a reflection of those peaceful moments that remind us to slow down, breathe deeply and simply appreciate the remarkable beauty of Western Australia's coastline.

Framed works are professionally finished in either a natural Tasmanian oak float frame or an Italian narrow shadow-line box frame, as shown.
Unframed works have finished edges, with the painting continuing around the sides.
