From My Easel
Some childhood moments are so ordinary at the time, yet somehow become the ones we want to hold onto.
To the Water captures my daughter making her way across the sand towards the shallow wading waters of Old Dunsborough. Hat on, towel in hand and completely focused on where she is going, straight to the water.
I loved the scale of her tiny figure against that enormous expanse of blue. The sky seems to go on forever, while the darker shadows across the sand lead your eye towards her and then out to the calm water beyond.
There is something wonderfully uncomplicated about the way children experience places like this. No need to admire the view or consider the light - they simply run towards what brings them joy.
For me, To the Water holds a little of that feeling. Childhood summers, sandy feet, calm bay water and the freedom of having nowhere more important to be.
It's a reminder to notice these seemingly ordinary moments while we're living them. They have a habit of becoming precious memories before we realise it.
About This Place
Old Dunsborough sits along the calm shores of Geographe Bay in Western Australia, where shallow, protected water makes it a much-loved place for families to swim, paddle and spend long days by the sea.
To the Water captures one of those simple Dunsborough moments; a child crossing the sand towards the bay, surrounded by an expansive sky and the beautiful blues of the Western Australian coast.

Frame Sizes
Canvas frames: Add approximately 2.7 cm to both the height and width of the selected print size. Frames are 5.5 cm deep.
Paper print frames: Add approximately 6 cm to both the height and width of the selected print size. Frames are 4 cm deep.

Where a print is part of a Limited Edition, the certificate will also include its individual edition number (for example, 1 of 30).
Each print is personally signed by Heidi Emma. Paper prints are signed on the front in the lower corner, while canvas prints are signed on the back.

Small unframed paper prints are carefully packaged in rigid protective mailers to keep them flat during transit.
Larger unframed paper prints and canvas prints are rolled and shipped in sturdy mailing tubes for safe delivery.
Framed prints and stretched canvas prints require specialised packaging and are shipped via trusted art couriers or professional carriers to ensure they arrive safely.
Please allow approximately 7–10 business days for production before dispatch. Delivery times will vary depending on your location.

To ensure your print lasts for generations, display it away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity. Handle the paper with clean, dry hands or have it framed soon after arrival for the best protection.
Stretched canvases come sealed for protection. If wiping to dust, please do gently with a clean microfibre cloth. -
Every print is made to order especially for you. If your order arrives damaged or there is a problem with your print, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damage so I can arrange a replacement or suitable solution.
