This 3 week course is designed to give your child the skills to paint anything they see (live or from photographic reference) in a way that captures the light, mood and essence that will leave you astounded at their skill.

Tonal Impressionist techniques will be taught over the 3 sessions including how to observe, paint without drawing, consider tone and composition and paint what you see, not what you think you see.

The result will be a new way of looking at the world, and a completed piece at the end of the 3 week block that you will think photographic from a distance but painterly when up close.

My painting classes allow children to learn to really attend and focus, learn skills of persistence, observation, to not fear failure or mistakes but rather embrace them and to become confident in their ability to produce something incredible while enjoying the all important process. For children already keen in their artist endeavours, they will learn new skills and a new way of approaching painting that doesn’t involve drawing.

My teaching style is relaxed, gentle, humorous (I think my jokes are great! :P) and inspiring. I have 15 years experience teaching children. I look forward to teaching your child and affirming their creative side.

All materials provided. Kiss and Drop. 3 x 1hr blocks.

$150 for the 3 weeks.
