Held in Stillness

There are times when I find myself drawn to arranging just a few simple things and allowing them plenty of room to breathe.

For Held in Stillness, I brought together two vessels whose shapes and colours I loved - the softness of the handmade jug against the rich, reflective blue - and added just a small sprig of foliage. The fallen leaves in front seemed to complete the arrangement without needing anything more.

I loved the restraint of this composition. The quiet space surrounding the objects became just as important as the objects themselves, while the subtle light, reflections and textures gave me plenty to explore with paint.

For me, it is a painting about noticing what is already there: simple things, gently gathered, beautiful enough when we become still enough to see them.

All original artworks are packaged with great care to ensure they arrive safely.

Due to the materiality and scale of the works, original paintings are shipped as finished artworks and are not available rolled.

Local collection is available from Dunsborough, with delivery also available within the Margaret River Region.

Perth metropolitan delivery is available via specialist art courier for $100.

Regional WA and interstate shipping is available, with tracking and insurance. As costs vary depending on the size and destination of the artwork, shipping will be quoted and invoiced separately after purchase.

International shipping is also available by personalised quote and will be invoiced separately after purchase.

Framed works are professionally finished in either a natural Tasmanian oak float frame or an Italian narrow shadow-line box frame, as shown.

Unframed works have finished edges, with the painting continuing around the sides.

Each original artwork is accompanied by a personally signed certificate of authenticity.
