From My Easel
Surrounded by You grew from an idea I first explored in Together Is Better, revisiting the composition on a larger scale and allowing myself to move closer.
I wanted to take these familiar, everyday vessels and forget their function for a moment - to simply notice their shapes, their differences and the way light falls across them.
The collection includes old bottles, ceramic jugs and small vessels, each with its own character. I used light and shadow to gently draw the eye towards the group, allowing some objects to stand forward while others quietly recede.
But as I painted, the arrangement began to speak of something more.
For me, Surrounded by You became about the comfort of being among the people we love. Each of us is individual, with our own story and place, yet there is something grounding about being gathered together - known, supported and surrounded.
Perhaps that is why I keep returning to collections of vessels in my still lifes. On their own they are beautiful, but together they become something more.
About This Composition
Surrounded by You is a contemporary still life featuring a carefully gathered collection of ceramic vessels, vintage bottles and everyday objects.
A larger-scale continuation of the composition explored in Together Is Better, the painting moves closer to the vessels, celebrating their individual forms through subtle shifts of light, shadow, colour and texture.
Its restrained neutral palette and long horizontal format give the work a calm, timeless quality, while its underlying story speaks to connection, belonging and the comfort of being surrounded by those we love.

Paper Prints
Printed on premium archival fine art paper, these prints beautifully reproduce the colour, detail and texture of the original painting.
Paper prints are supplied unframed and carefully rolled for delivery, giving you the freedom to choose a frame to suit your own space and style.
Canvas Frame Size
Float frames add approximately 2.7 cm to both the height and width of the selected print size and are approximately 5.5 cm deep.

Every Heidi Emma print is accompanied by a personally signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Where a print is part of a Limited Edition, the certificate will also include its individual edition number (for example, 1 of 30).
Each print is personally signed by Heidi Emma. Paper prints are signed on the front in the lower corner, while canvas prints are signed on the back.

Rolled paper and canvas prints are carefully protected and shipped in sturdy mailing tubes for safe delivery.
Framed canvas prints are professionally packed and boxed for secure delivery, ready to hang on arrival.
Please provide a delivery address where someone is available during business hours, along with a valid mobile number, as the courier may need to contact you regarding delivery.
Please allow time for your print to be professionally produced before dispatch. As each print is made to order, production and delivery times may vary depending on your order and location.
International orders are very welcome. Rolled prints can be shipped internationally, with shipping calculated at checkout. For framed canvas orders outside Australia, please contact Heidi before purchasing for a shipping quote.
Ordering more than one print? Where prints can be safely packaged together, any excess shipping charged at checkout will be refunded once your order is confirmed.

To ensure your print lasts for generations, display it away from direct sunlight and areas of high humidity. Handle the paper with clean, dry hands or have it framed soon after arrival for the best protection.
Stretched canvases come sealed for protection. If wiping to dust, please do gently with a clean microfibre cloth. -
Every print is made to order especially for you. If your order arrives damaged or there is a problem with your print, please contact me within 7 days of delivery with photographs of the damage so I can arrange a replacement or suitable solution.
