Daily Paintings - who is with me?!
How is everyone going with their self isolation? I’m appreciating a slower, more deliberate lifestyle and really noticing what we need and don’t need. I am honestly at times frustrated with how little time I have to paint with my children being home full time, but what better cure for that than to set myself a challenge to paint every day!
I would love you to take part too. Find your kids paints, dust off your own old painting gear - whatever it takes to get creative! Watch your mental health improve and ignite those observational skills to help you appreciate the beauty of everyday items.
I’ll be painting only what I can find around the home and so can you. For those that want it, I will be providing an image reference we can all paint together once a week.
Each of my little paintings will be available for purchase for $50, first to comment on my blog or social media will have it posted to them free of charge as soon as its dry enough! If I don’t find time to upload each one each day I will upload them all at the end of the week.

New Collection Coming
I’m completing a new series that I am so looking forward to releasing.
Petal and Vessels is the result of an initiative I began out of a desire to collaborate with other talented creatives who live near me to produce still life images I can use as references for a new body of work. Beautiful ceramics hand crafted by Sally Mills were paired with flowers from Zest Flowers and captured by talented photographer, Ange Wall. These photographs are being painted, along with still life featuring local handpicked flowers in my personal vessels. The home studio is filling up fast and I can’t wait to show you all.

School holiday classes are such a delight, seeing young creatives learn new skills and try out my techniques. As usual, the final ‘turn’ where they get to see what they have been working on around the right way is the highlight!

For me, following someone I connect with means seeing their process, hearing their heart and getting a window into their world.
This blog will be just that. A way to journey with me in what I get up to and why I’m just so passionate about what I do. What do you love to paint?
Landscapes, Still life, Seascapes, anything where light and atmosphere takes my breathe away!
What medium do you use?
I personally paint with oils and we use acrylics most of the time in my workshops
What is this plein air painting thing you speak of?
Plein Air is French for outdoors. I love to paint outdoors, from life whenever I can. No photograph can express what the human eye sees. That’s my ultimate endeavour
Who are your workshops aimed at?
Anyone. People who love to paint or are experienced artists enjoy learning my techniques and the opportunity to be creative in a group context but my true passion lies with having people come who believe they have no artistic ability and over the course of the class changing their minds ;) Seeing people change their self concept is what fulfils me most. If you have ever said “I can’t even draw stick men”, “My sister/mother/father/brother got the art genes, not me”, “I admire art but can’t do it”, then my workshops are for you. Challenge accepted!
