I was compelled to paint these blooms as soon as they arrived. They were delivered by surprise by a dear woman, Ros Happs in the first couple of weeks of isolation and I was so touched by her kindness, hence the name for this piece. Paired with one of my favourite enamel jugs, “Kindness” was created.

It is part of the "Petals and Vessels" series. The works in this collection celebrate the simple beauty of flowers and foliage coupled with the way that light dances on ceramic, glass and enamel surfaces. Painted in a time in our history when we are forced to slow and consider the beauty of the ordinary and the every day; to be thankful for the little details in life, and to remember the bigger picture.
