View From Dunsborough Foreshore
View From Dunsborough Foreshore
View from Dunsborough Foreshore captures the gentle beauty of Geographe Bay from one of Dunsborough's most loved coastal walkways. Painted in soft natural light, this archival fine art print celebrates the calm waters that invite recreation of all types, coastal vegetation and relaxed atmosphere that make this special place a favourite with locals and visitors alike.
From My Easel
The Dunsborough Foreshore is one of those places for me. It's somewhere I return to throughout the seasons, never quite knowing what the light will bring but always finding something worth noticing.
On this particular day, the yearly Sculptures by the Bay brought a bustling crowd as I set up to capture the sense of activity. The bay was a hive of activity that morning, with a kite surfer conveniently coming into my composition at the last minute! The coastal vegetation framed the view beautifully, and the changing light softened every colour across the water. I've always been fascinated by the way beautiful light transforms both ordinary and extraordinary places. It asks us to slow down long enough to notice details that are easily overlooked—the shifting blues of the bay, the warmth in the sand and the quiet rhythm of life unfolding along the shoreline.
This painting isn't simply about a view; it's about preserving the feeling of being there. My hope is that View from Dunsborough Foreshore brings a sense of calm, familiarity and connection to a place that holds special memories for so many.
