Yallingup is that beach for the locals and tourists to Dunsborough in the Margaret River Region of Western Australia. The original painting was a commission for a special family. They asked for the vista that captured the feeling of coming around the bend at Yallingup and seeing what the conditions might be. It was a joy to paint this as I was given the freedom to choose the composition, season, time of day and swell conditions. I hope it makes you feel that sense of elation as this view is different each day.
